KTU Opens Admissions for International Students 2027
Today, Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) opens admissions for international students. Explore English-taught bachelor’s and master’s programmes, apply by 31 May, and start your studies in September 2027.
“We invite talented students from all over the world to join the KTU community. Here, we aim not only to provide a strong academic foundation, but also to help students turn knowledge into real-world solutions and shape their own future,” says Audronė Račkauskienė, Head of the International Studies Office.
For students choosing where to study, the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice can be just as important as the subject itself. At KTU, this connection is central to the university’s invitation to prospective students.
“KTU’s most popular and highly rated study programmes traditionally focus on information technology, engineering, and business. KTU ranks among the top 25% of European universities, and the AACSB accreditation of our School of Economics and Business ensures the highest quality of studies, placing the school among the top 6% of business schools worldwide,” says Račkauskienė.
More than Lectures and Exams
For Fatulla Alizada, a bachelor’s student in Engineering Physics, some of the most rewarding aspects of studying at KTU have been the opportunities beyond the classroom.
“My biggest surprise studying at KTU was how university life goes far beyond just lectures and exams; here I have discovered countless opportunities to get involved in research, international projects, and student initiatives,” he says.
His experience also reflects the connection between academic knowledge and practical skills that Račkauskienė highlights.
“Studying engineering physics, I have noticed how usefully theoretical foundations blend with programming, allowing me to apply the knowledge I have gained straight into practice,” says Alizada.
Alongside his studies, he values the everyday experience of living in Kaunas. For Alizada, the city’s size and atmosphere make it easy to balance university life with time outside his studies: “Kaunas itself is an incredibly convenient and student-friendly city: it’s compact, everything is within easy reach, and the peaceful atmosphere creates an ideal environment for both study and life.”
