Former Wildcats had highs and lows in Week 5 of the NFL, but made their presence known on both sides of the ball.
From Dru Phillips’s recording a career high in sacks to Ray Davis’s 31-yard reception in a Monday Night Football overtime win, former Wildcats are continuing to be felt in the NFL.
Wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, Tennessee Titans
This season has been a heartbreaker for Tennessee, sitting at 0-5 on the season.
With that being said, Robinson has continued to be a highlight for this Titans offense. In the Titans’ 26-3 loss to the Texans, Robinson caught 6 of 7 targets for 53 yards.
He has caught six or more passes in two of his last three games. Robinson now stands on the season with 22 receptions for 176 yards with two touchdowns.
Cornerback Dru Phillips, New York Giants
Phillips recorded a career high in sacks in the Giants’ 27-27 tie game against the Commanders.
He recorded 5 QB pressures, 2 sacks and 3 tackles. Prior to the game, Phillips had just one sack, which he secured in 2024. Both of Phillips’s sacks came from critical third-down moments that helped pave the way for a tie game. He now sits on the season with 19 tackles and 2 sacks.
Defensive lineman Deone Walker, Buffalo Bills
Monday Night Football was one of the highlights and best games for NFL week five. The Bills defeated the Rams 37-34 in a OT road-win.
Walker made his presence felt on the defensive side, recording 2 QB pressures, 3 tackles and 2 assists. Walker helped Buffalo’s defense hold the Rams to just 77 rushing yards and secure their 4th win of the season.
Defensive end Josh Hines-Allen, Jacksonville Jaguars
Hines-Allen and the Jaguars’ defense put up a fight to secure Jacksonville’s 19-17 win over the Eagles. The DE recorded 4 QB pressures, 4 tackles and 1 batted ball. He now stands at 19 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
The Jaguars defense also recorded one sack, which will go towards Hines-Allen’s “Sacks for Hope” campaign. Hines-Allen donates $410 for pediatric cancer for every sack the Jaguars record.
Running back Ray Davis, Buffalo Bills
Davis was battling right alongside Walker and the Bills to secure the OT win over the Rams. Davis recorded 2 rushes for 2 yards and 1 reception for 31 yards.
On his caught pass, Davis was just 1 yard short of scoring his first touchdown of the season. Davis now stands at 4 carries for 8 yards and 2 receptions for 35 yards.
