Visit by European Commissioner to the Institute for European Studies The Institute of European Studies was pleased to welcome the European Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport, Glenn Micallef, on Friday 9 October. Mr Micallef is an alumnus of the Institute. Mr Micallef was welcomed to the Institute by Dr Moira Catania, Director of the Institute and was accompanied by Mr Nick Muscat, President of KSU, and Mr Matthias Zahra, Student and International Affairs Officer, both Institute alumni. While visiting the Institute, Mr Micallef was presented with his MA thesis which comprised a study of the General Affairs Council post-Lisbon. Mr Micallef was given a tour of the Institute library by Mr Stefan Bezzina, the European Documentation Centre (EDC) manager. The EDC is part of the Institute library and forms part of the EU's specialized information points established across universities, research institutes, and libraries to collect, store, and share official European Union legislation, publications, and databases.
