Red lights flooded the Moody Center as flames shot up from the stage in time with the beat, illuminating Bryson Tiller in an all-black outfit. Towering LED screens displayed images of fiery desert dunes and abstract geometric grids as smoke rolled across the stage. Red and orange beams cut through the haze and the bass increased, building anticipation across the arena. Tiller’s towering silhouette appeared on the screens before he stepped onto the stage.
Tiller brought his Neo Trapsoul Tour to Austin’s Moody Center on Oct. 13, celebrating a little over a decade since the release of Trapsoul, the 2015 album that helped establish his place in contemporary R&B.
Tiller opened with “Mini Kelly,” followed by “For However Long,” phones shooting up in the air as fans rushed to record the performance. The performance reached its first peak with “Don’t,” one of Tiller’s best-known songs and a fan favorite. Audiences sang along as two backup dancers took the stage, matching Tiller’s energy. The crowd’s collective voice alongside the show’s fiery visuals and elaborate production made the song feel less like a performance to watch and more like a moment to participate in.

After “Ciao!” Tiller moved through “Let Em’ Know” and “Sorry Not Sorry” before shifting into a stretch of calmer selections from his discography. “Run Me Dry,” “Wild Thoughts,” “Could’ve Been,” and “Playing Games” slowed the pace, allowing the melodies to take center stage. During “Playing Games,” a single female dancer joined Tiller, creating an intimate moment amid the elaborate production. Throughout the set, Tiller’s vocals remained strong and close to the quality of the original recordings, complementing the changing energy of the performance.
Near the end of the show, Tiller reflected on his first Trapsoul tour a decade ago. “All this shit was new to me, man,” he told the crowd, describing how unfamiliar the experiences had been before turning towards the future.
“These next two years … we’re gonna take it to the next level, man,” Tiller said.
Tiller then previewed an unreleased song without revealing its title. The crowd’s excitement carried into the new track, giving fans a glimpse of music beyond the songs they already knew.
Closing with “Right My Wrongs” and “Exchange,” Tiller brought the show to its final peak. As the closing song played, fans cheered and jumped along, carrying the energy through the final moments of the show. Before leaving the stage, Tiller told the crowd, “Man, I love you guys so fucking much, Austin.”
