The WKU Department of Art and Design will kick off its Student Juried Art Show with a reception and awards ceremony on Wednesday. The reception will begin at noon in the Main Gallery on the 2nd floor of the Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center. The exhibit will feature a diverse array of media created by students in the department. Each year the art show has a new juror, according to gallery manager Elizabeth Jones. She said they each have a different process for how they curate the exhibition and assign awards. “This helps prepare students for future exhibition opportunities on campus and beyond,” Jones said.  The exhibit will remain in the gallery until Nov. 11. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. “Anyone visiting the gallery will get to experience the unique diversity of creativity represented within the students’ artwork,” Jones said 0 Like This Story Share on Facebook Share on X Email this Story Print this Story Tags: art art department art gallery fac fac gallery student juried art show wku department of art and design wku student work More to Discover More in Arts & Culture When the Clock starts, everyone finds the beat Cadence at the Colonnades: WKU Jazz Band hosts outdoor concert Lowell Harrison Distinguished Lecture discusses Civil War attire Fleaji Vintage Market raises money for Trained-Alzheimer’s research Bowling Green goes global for annual International Festival Artist talk at Chandler Hall highlights past and present rural Jewish communities About the Contributors Miles Davis, Staff Reporter Miles Davis is a news reporter for the Herald.
