Prayer for Pope Leo XIV

Prayer for Pope Leo XIV In light of Pope Leo’s recent surgery and cancer diagnosis, the global Marquette University community is praying for his health and recovery and keeping him and those who are caring for him close in our thoughts.    Prayer for Good Health  Almighty and Eternal God,  In the life and ministry of Jesus,  You revealed yourself as Healer of the sick.   At his touch the blind regained their sight,  The afflicted were restored to health,   And at his word, the paralyzed began to walk.  As a community of faith, we open our hearts   And ask that you extend your healing grace to Pope Leo XIV.   Draw near to him so that he may know your strength,  Enkindle in his heart a spirit of courage,   And strengthen his trust that you are   Guiding him through all things.    Bless his nurses, doctors, and caregivers   as they accompany him with compassion and skill.   Awaken in the hearts of all the faithful a spirit  Of compassion for those who suffer.   May we, like Jesus, become sacraments of your mercy,   Extending to all we encounter   The healing touch of your love.   Amen
